The L shaped building configuration on this corner site allows the building to act as the buffer between the public street side activities and the protected courtyard school functions beyond.

The entry to the school is designed for maximum access control. Students are dropped off and enter through the central entry between Administration and the Media Center. When school is in session, visitors enter through a separate entry directly into Administration Reception. After hours, the Media Center and Cafeteria are designed to accommodate community use via separate entry, the remainder of the school remaining inaccessible.

Classrooms, skills labs, and resource rooms efficiently stack and repeat along a double loaded corridor, on first and second floors. ESE classrooms and resource rooms are scattered throughout.
